Boy,I lost count of the number of these that are claimed to be Cub engines. For the record, this engine is the model Y-69 Continental.Just check the I.D. plate on the side of the block.

I stick with my original comment, Continental IY-69. The adjustable drive sheave says it is from a combine. The #62 used that exact setup. Others may have also.

If you know your Cub [C-60] engines, you know they have the carb and manifold on the left side [facing the flywheel end] and the magneto or distributor on the right.

This is NOT a Cub [C-60] engine.

BIGGEST tip-off is the tag that says "CONTINENTAL" on it. IH didn't build Continental engines.

I have one of these engines,it came off of a no. 55 IH baler. It does have an IH mag and the carberator looks to be the same as a Zenith from an A Farmall. Haven"t gotten it running yet.

Using the same Xenith carb did they have smaller jets since it was only 69cuin. The Mag has a different front plate and they do interchange as i have done it the holes are drilled for the Cont allowing it to be rotated out from the block more than on the 113 engine.

Looks like one Dad had on a combine in the 50's. Pull type one that we junked when we brought a Allis one. PTO, pull type.
