Is there a rebuild kit for a IH hyd distributor
pump? Looked on the parts site here and did not see
one. Does IH have one? What are some hydralic
pressure numbers required to lift a round bale on an
old loader on a tricycle front? Posting for a friend
who has already rebuilt the hydralic unit with store
bought parts. Can parts be bought locally for the
pump? Thanks, Jon

Seals, o-rings and gaskets are all that is possible to replace in those pumps. When the bushings wear, the gears wear into the housing and then the pump is shot. Bushings are part of the end plates. You would need to take pump apart and see if it is worth the trouble of replacing seals. Putting a speedy sleeve on a grooved shaft sounds like a good idea except that then you have a shaft that is too large to go through the bushing. Have had shafts built up where seal rides over the years. Sometimes it worked, usually didn't .

What pete 23 said. You can get new pumps from places like Steel Wheel Ranch - 785-548-7437. Will cost around $800 +/- if I remember right.
