I am trying to put this loader on my Farmall Super M, Something just looks wrong to me about way that the loader brackets mount. The part that sticks back under the rear axle looks like it should be attached to something. Thanks for any help.

I don't know about stanhoist loaders in particular but it looks like there should be some brackets that bolt around the rear axle housing on the outer spot, just outside where the drawbar mounts. With any loader you want the pushing to come from the rear axle so you don't stress the torque tube and frame rails and crack them.

Yes and they are the main connection to provide push force and impact absorption. They should be closer to the axle height. a axle clamp is needed that transfers the forces to the axle. 5/8 plate, and 3/4' clamp bolts would be realistic. The bracket should be solid and cover both sides of the channels on the struts. A 3/4" grade 8 bolt (with no threads in the shear path) should be used through the bracket. Jim

I had one on a Super year's ago which was a Stan Hoist that looks like yours. I can't remember what it looked like, but there is a bracket that fastenes to the rear axle that holds the tubing under the axle. If I remember right the tube slide in a larger tube and could be adjusted for length to fit different models of tractors. That's kind of how I remember the one I had, but it's probably been 40 years ago.

Thanks for the help, will I be able to buy the brackets to finish mounting the loader bracket, or would it be best to take it to a local welding shop and have them make me a set?

I had one on a M many years ago. The bracket in the back is a u shaped that fits over the square part and then there is a bolt on the bottom that you tighten up. To fasten it to the axel it was two bolts that went up, one on each side of the axel and a flat piece of steel on the top. On mine the center brace went to the taped hole in the tork tube. HTH.

Let me change something, the center brace is bolted to the taped hole in the frame rail and not the tork tube. Sorry.
