Removing cab

Going to start removing the cab on the 966 today. Is there an easy spot to unhook the wiring to the cab? Like the flashers and radio and fan control. Does the PTO lever have to be removed to lift the cab? Its the red cab with a/c. Thanks DK

Plug is up under the right step. There's a bolted ground there also that has to come loose.

Cab will tip back and totally miss that PTO lever. I'd take that rear sheet metal panel off first tho.

Thanks Allan. Saw your post on the red power forum tipping the cab backwards. Might try it that way. Sure has gotten cold here in nebraska this weekend hasn't it.

Hey DK what are you doing with the old cab.If the heater and ac are good I might be interested in it if you are selling it.I have a 966 with a hiniker on it heater or ac neither one work.

Phil I don't have any plans for the cab really at this time. It's really in pretty good shape. We used the tractor to mainly run a mist blower to control flies in our feedyard. The last time the a/c worked was about 5 years ago. All the parts are the there and the only reason we don't use it is that there must be a leak somewhere and it doesn't hold freon long. We sprayed in he mornings always so we never bothered to fix it. Blower works fine and the heater should work but we never used it much in the winter. We only ran augers with it then. It does have a radio that does work but is not original. We put a new floor mat in two years ago so it's almost like new. The glass is all good and the doors are not bent. It has decent paint on it. Was painted about 10 years ago. Seems a shame to let it go to the scrapper. I'm about 20 miles west of York. If I had pics of it I would send them to you. But I don't right now.
