IH 464 brakes

Brakes always have to be pumped to work. I have bled and next time I use same thing. I had trans top off to change shifter linkage would it be those seals on 2 lines from trans case to trans top?

Hi Jeff, yes, the hydraulic lines on top of transmission do feed the brakes. They must be free of leaks.
Where the brakes good before removing transmission top?

yes I think so. It had set for a couple of years that tranny top a lot of work to take off again.
