IH 2000 loader compatibility

hey all-

My dad is looking for a loader for his ih 460 row crop with a wide front; i located an ih 2000 loader with 7 ft bucket, 5 ft bucket, and hay forks for $1200. The seller tells me it comes with brackets to fit a farmall 350. Thus, my question is, will these same brackets work for mounting this loader onto the 460? Please forgive my ignorance as I'm not real familiar with either of these tractors...thanks in advance for any advice you can offer!

Somebody will chime in, but shooting from the hip yes it will fit. If you have a welder and a torch then yes yes it will fit LOL

I think all you have to do is flip something over to compensate for the wider frame rail spacing on the 460.

Noah in IA;

No to your ?

The brackets are different, both front and rear, according to my booklet on the 2001 - note different model loader - but I think they are the same loader with the exception of hydraulics, which the 2000 has.

You are not ignorant for asking and it's great you are helping your dad.
If you folks are skilled at welding, or someone you know, brackets can be made. That outfit in Elgin probably isn't out of line, price wise.

Also adjust the front wheels to 52" tread and the rears to 60" tread along with using fender spacers (per the manual) if your dad's is so equipped. Good luck with your project.

Thanks for the info guys. I"ll have to see if Dad is still interested since he"ll have to source new brackets or modify the ones that come with the loader. Again, your help is much appreciated!

Al L. - thanks also for the comment on the craigslist post pricing - I really had no idea as to the value of this kind of set-up...
