f-12 electric start

Hi, I have a f-12 with electric start, The ring gear on the flywheel has 2 broken teeth, is there a ring gear from another model tractor that will fit this? thank-you, phil

Engines usually stop at about the same location each time they are turned off. You could mark that location on the flywheel, remove it, welded it back up and grind the weld in to new teeth. And then reinstall it in a new location. I am not sure how the welding would affect the flywheel though.

Phil, Ca you build it up with weld and grind it to shape. Easyer and cheeper than changing it.

Hey Oldiron, are things back to normal in your area? With power on you no longer have to eat by candlelight? Your family ok? Farmalls ok?

Lowell, I and my tractors are fine. Most of the bad danage oe month later is about 18 miles south of me where there was very bad flooding from salt water. Most homes have been gutted because of mold and so on. More garbage than can be removed big pile on side of the roads. Power company will not turn the power on to homes that have not been rewired yet. so for some it is still very bad. oldiron29
