valve seat removal

yes, in your local machine shop. why would you want too? its part of the head rebuilding process. dont know maybe you are a machinist,... but then you wouldnt have asked the question. then there"s the guides to do. and seat and valve grinding also. you dont just install seats and think thats it.

Exactly. Original valve seats are part of the head and cannot be removed. A machine shop CAN cut out the old seats and install new seats.
 
If it has the donut inserts, they can be pryed out with a curved removal tool. I have done lots of them over the years. It may be better to take it to a shop as the new ones have to be ground after installing.
