Miss in 300

I have a 300 LP with a miss in it I can"t find. We replaced the wires, plugs and cap. A compression test showed 180lbs on all 4 cylinders yet the miss is still there. When I pull the plug wires off one at a time, there"s no change in rpms when I remove #2 wire, yet there is good spark jumping from the wire to the plug. What have I missed here? Thanks, Dan

sounds like #2 plug is fouled. When you pull the wire off and hold it away from plug it increases resistance so you get a good spark to plug. Perhaps you got a bad new plug

Also check the inside of the cap. I replaced one on a "B". Ran okay for a short time, then it started missing. For some reason, one of the the electrodes (??) on the inside of the cap started to get buildup, and missed on that cylinder... Scraped it off, and worked fine from then on.
