Valve question, for head.

Have sealed power exhaust valves for a 300 350 gas head. They have a concaved head. I realy want a flate head but parts persons can't tell me what type valve head they can get without ordering.
So my question is to anyone that has bought valves or knows. Is there another company or IH that has the ones that are not concaved?

Maybe not much, but it does to me. When the originals were not concaved. Probably wouldn't notice the difference in compression, but if already loosing a little compression with a valve job I don't like loosing just a slight amount more with the valve head. IH ones are not that much higher but with none in stock at the dealer to look at, can't know if They are the same as originals or just the same as aftermarket.

The increase in compression from a properly sealing valve job would be 10 times the amount you are going to "lose" from concave valve heads and the minuscule change in valve height from a valve job.

Tuliped valves are lighter and have slightly better heat distribution. Imagine a 1/2% change in volume. I would just go with it. Jim

I bet if you called HY-Capacity, if you are a dealer, or have a dealer call, they would look and tell you what their valves are. I believe, if I remember correctly, that I ordered a whole set from them for one of my H tractors a few years ago and they were flat.
