Question about M to 450 cam gear

Wondering if I may be missing something about the gears. In another post It was stated IH made a cam gear with a solid center without the three holes. Since I have some new old stock ones I haven't bought a gear for a long time. Also never run across the solid center gear.
Wonder if IH sells the same gear as the aftermarket ones now, and are they solid.
Case IH still lists the gear as part # 6760 DB.
Most times they change the suffix if a change is made. Only 6760 DB I ever saw when IH was still around is like the picture.
Anyone bought a new case IH or aftermarket gear recently. If so do they have the 3 holes or are they solid.

I have never been in an M engine but I know in H engines those holes make it possible to get at the two bolts on the plate that holds the cam shaft in place. Without the holes I can't see how it could be done unless the gear was removed from the shaft first.

Wondered about that myself Zackary. Have pulled the gears on the engine using the 3 holes before.
Without the holes a thin puller of some kind would have to be used on the gear teeth edges to remove a camshaft. Hardened edges are easy to chip. Not to mention pressing a gear on the cam already installed.
This site pictures a replacement gear with 3 holes but that could be just the picture.
Always run across something not seen before on the tractors and thats the reason for the question. If there is a solid hub gear it would be good to know.
Also not sure if the poster means the solid hub gear was made after 450 production. 6760DB gear started being installed during 400 production.
Post was Cam gear BudKaiser.
