460 clutch style PTO parts

Where is the best place to get parts for my 460 Row Crop clutch style PTO. The local Case IH dealer does not seem interested in finding parts for me - must not be enough$$$$ for him.

I would call another dealer as somewhere theres a dealer who would be glad to help phone calls arent expensive.

Look up the part numbers in your parts book or at www.caseih.com -- I have never had a problem when I do that -- it also leaves the dealer no choice. It saves a LOT of time for you and the dealer both. You are not going to like the price. But, you might have problems finding used ones.

I did a clutch type pto on a 560 (same as 460) early this fall. When I got it apart, priced all the parts I needed it came to over 1200 bucks at CASEIH dealer. We found a used one at a salvage yard and lucked out. All that was wrong with it was pin had worked out that holds shaft from pulling out of fork. It worked great all fall on auger . I think it was 250 with works or bring it back. They are not cheap but the planetery ones are even more expensive if you need internals. Put a new band in one couple weeks ago, 540 bucks I think. Thing you have to be careful of on a used clutch type is they wear out the keyway in shaft and lose motion. Lots of them welded solid.
