Spraying ether right into the manifold. Can you even pull start these? I think it has a hydraulic clutch. I know I can't pull my 1086 but being my neighbors tractor I don't know as much about this one I'd assume its the same as mine. [Reply]  [No Email]

That is to say, the engine may now be free but perhaps all of the rings aren't. If this were my tractor, I shoot a can of GM's Top Engine Cleaner in the intake while cranking it over. Slop it down real good and let it soak overnight to see if the thing loosens up enough to at least get it started. Also, do you have good engine cranking speed? No, ya can't pull 'em to start. Another thought; perhaps you're up against the original reason it was parked to start with? Just thinkin' out loud here, Allan [Reply]  [No Email]

We had penetrating oil down the injector holes to get it loosened up then cranked it over to blow it out, then squirted motor oil to lube and help with compression. It cranks over good for about five seconds then slows way down, one week battery I'm guessing because we have it on a big battery charger , new starter. I guess it ran good when it was parked. They just used it for tillage and all the land was into hay. [Reply]  [No Email]
