M and W 9speed cable

need a new cable for a nine speed has any one bought one recently and what is the brand and parts suplier . have tried truck part and two auto part stores to no avail cant find one that the locking nut will fit on Thank you Jerry
 
Push Pull cables are available from Many sources Muncie gear works is one of many Getting the correct threads might be difficult. Getting a better product is more important (unless the correct police are in your neighborhood, have a nut made to fit the new cable !! Jim
 
Try Muncie power products. They make all the power take off applications for Semi dump trucks & pump units. Cables run from the cab down to the PTO unit on the transmission, also "cruise control" throttle cables.
Do you know what size ( diameter) you need? and how long?
 
It is a speacal nut that screws into a hollow bolt in front side of tranmission it has theads on the inside and the outside and locks th ecable in place it threads on the wrapping so the width of the wrap has toline up
 
Not the best way, but have used cables that are a little bigger wire and used a dremel tool to get it to fit the nut. Used a cutoff wheel and stone to do it. Slow work with trial and error though.
