With me my hobby farming was done with a 450 D and a set of 4 bottom semi mounts to start with then a 460 hated that tractor and only had it two years and it was history then i bought a rag 706 for next to nothing and ran it but nowhere near that many acres as one i could not find that much land to rent and time i did not have . Till i got out of trucking and started fixen and buying and selling . Then i farmed with what ever would run off the truck or what came out of the shop after repairs were made as i was sorta FIELD testing them before someone came in to buy it . There were times that the plow was dropped in the farrow because someone would come in and buy it in the field and plowing had to wait till i either got one up and running or went to a sale and bought something else. The one spring i went thru six tractors before i got fifteen acres plowed. |
