You used what you had. The #8 I am using is still the rope trip, but I have 2 parts plows with the hydraulic lift system. 1 of those is the conversion style, and the other, which might NOT be a #8, looks like it came from the factory as a hydraulic lift. All I need do is decide which one to use, and then dig it out of the plow pile so I can remove the parts. OH, I've got to get a cylinder also. That is the part that's going to hurt a bit. My plow was a 3 bottom when I bought it but I dropped a bottom as I already have a 3 bottom rope trip. Have not had it in the ground yet though. [Reply]  [No Email]

(do not take these comments as flame) I think the rear plow is about 2 inches too shallow. plows almost always keep the turned earth level, so the only way to check is to stop with it in the ground, and measure to the frame at each from the ground. the coulters should track very close to the landslide and edge of the shin. When they do the top of the furrow is cleaner and less rounded. Great start to a life of turning soil! Jim [Reply]  [No Email]
