Cub plow on a A

Size of the plow is not an issue, though it is far from ideal, it would plow a garden well. The issue would be restructuring the attachment to make it work with an entirely different tractor. From lifting mechanism to frame attachments, it would require dramatic re-purposing and field engineering. I would say no. Jim

The plow on the A is hard enough to mount on the tractor. It's also a 16-inch plow and may make plowing difficult. Here's the Farmall A restored in 1975 and here's a Cub plow and disk harrow. Hal

If you have the U-shaped drawbar on your A, you can turn it 180 degrees, and bolt the Cub plow on just like a Cub or Super A.

However, you have no way to lift it or control the depth. You would need to do some fabrication and figuring to get the Cub's depth control lever to mount up and work on the A. You would need to come up with a lift mechanism completely on your own.

The entire plow is smaller for a Cub, not just the bottom. The beam would probably hit the bottom of the tractor before you could get the bottom out of the ground.

Putting a Super A plow on a Cub, you're exactly right.

This is a Cub plow on an A. It can be done but it's far from ideal and will take some barnyard engineering to make it work.
