Grand-Daughter's first pull

Here"s a pic of my 12 yr old grand-daughter on her first tractor pull. The sled committee let me ride with her instead of walking beside her with the kill button. She was so self conscious of everyone watching her. I tried to tell her hat was why everyone was there, to see the pulls. She won first in farm stock and open. Really made her day.

Awesome! So good to see some kids getting involved...one of the real good clubs in our area is slowing down on the pullin' cuz the average age of the folks runnin' 'em is getting higher...a few younger guys pull but no one wanting to get involved in running it. My Father and I and a good friend and his Son (they own the sled) run one big pull in our area per year...it is so frustrating the constant arguning, attempts to cheat, bit#$ing...even though the rules are posted well before the pull and really don't change year to year.
We had one guy show up this year, whined and moaned, told us the chain lengths were wrong on the sled, kept telling us our rules are wrong, kept trying to sign up in the wrong division...
We use NATPA rules dude with about 6 local modifications which are posted all over the grounds, listed on various sights in advance...and he demands we email him our rules? after the pull? C'mon
Good to see youngun's getting involved!
