How much hp could a clutch type 560 pto hold reliably? How about the planetary type? I have read mixed reviews at about 100 hp but didn't say which type of pto they were. I think the clutch type would hold up better.

A planetary pto in a 560 won't handle 90+ horsepower very long. Thet will hold long enough to dyno them for a short period of time. The clutch plates begin to slip building heat and you will distroy the plates if you continue to load pto very long

yes, but put any tractor on a high load stationary machine (like a hay grinder) and put 100% of the power though the PTO and you will start having trouble.

My 560 has the old style PTO runs 90+ HP ground tons of hog feed with it no problems minding you keep the oil level correct.

But your ginder-mixer was probably using only 60 horsepower, and most likely even less.
