264 ci motor

hi guys i have a 264 ci motor that has a sn 151576 i think might be out of a combind it has the industrial oil filter on it can anyone tell me what year this is thanks

Probably installed in a machine in 1955. Follow toward the front in the general level of the engine from the C-264 number. Should find a date the block was cast. Month, day and a letter for the year with a cast dot between them. Block was probably cast in 55 also and would end with the letter A if so.
