Hough payloader

I posted a message in the crawler/dozer/loader/backhoe section about this, but I figured I"d post something here as well. I found a little old Hough payloader for sale. I"m pretty sure it"s an H25B from looking at the picture. The engine is probably stuck, but everything else is supposed to be pretty straight. I can get it for $550. Is this a reasonable deal?

Transporting it to where it can be worked on is the biggest issue. Its scrap price might be in the thousand dollar range. If it is a usable machine and you need it, or can flip it if you fix it, then it is a buy. The reason it was parked is more important than any other factor. A stuck engine from sitting is very different from and engine that was neglected because the reverser was out! If you can haul the thing it is at least worth the scrap price. Jim

would be very interested in the engine in that loader if it is the 4cyl IH engine....

I think he said it's got a Hercules engine, but if I buy it, I'm definitely going to try to fix it up.
