I"ve had a 1941 H for @ 8yrs or so for which I use to cultivate 30 or so acres with a 6 row McConnell cultivator. Well it worked good for a couple of years until now it wount lift the 3pt hitch once the oil gets warm and now it won"t work at all. You pull the lever and nothin. Where can I get the parts, or who rebuilds these? In my IT manual it says you can adjust the pressure plate to compensate for excess wear, but I"m in a wheelchair and won"t be able to do this task. Any input greatly appreciated!
PS I looked at previous posts and could not find my answer.

The two gears alone cost more than a new live system complete.

I had that happen with my H one year plowing - had hydraulic oil in it and it got hot and couldn't hardly lift the plow. Once I put the recommended 30wt back I never had another problem.I had a dealer tell me once to use 40 wt if the 30 wt didn't work.

If you can't do it yourself, then I would take it to a local hydraulic shop and see if they can do something with it. It is hard to say what it needs without taking it apart, but I would venture to say the endplate on the pump is worn and needs to be resurfaced.

Do you just mill/surface grind that plate flat again?
