I want to sell a tractor whats it worth?

I have a 53 farmall 350. My dad got it in the early 80"s. He got it from a feedlot in dodge city who got it new. Its been on our farm in NE kansas from then on out. The tin is like new, no dents just faded paint. Tires are 80% on rear and 25% on front. It has factory wide front and everything works but the TA. What is a tractor like this worth.

2500 to 3000$ would assume no oil consumption and solid engine. TA fixed and as straight as described add 600. Jim

As others have pointed out, the tractor is definitely not a 1953 model. You can look up the serial number in the research section to the left, or post it here so one of us can look it up for you.

Without at least pictures, any value is a guess. Things like "like new" and "80% on the rear tires" mean different things to different people, and it's human nature to upsell when describing something.

The tin could be like new but if the tractor underneath is covered with caked-on oil and grease, it's a leaker and needs a lot of work. That hurts the value.

It should start right up and run smooth like a sewing machine with no smoke. Hard starting, missing, stumbling all hurt value.

TA being out hurts the value, but you're probably best off taking the hit on that one. It will cost more to fix the TA than you'll get back in added value.

Without knowing more I have to be conservative and put the value at $1500 to $2000.
