Polarizing Gen..which of these regulator terminals?

I am not showing any charge on my Super C 6 volt system. The tractor has been sitting for years. I'm told it could be as simple as just needing re-polarized. I understand I need to jumper the BAT and GEN terminals on the regulator. The problem is my Regulator makes no note of which terminal is which. How can I tell this, or would anyone happen to know? This is my regulator here. Thanks!

The terminal by itself SHOULD be the GEN terminal...it should terminate on the "A" post of the generator. The middle terminal on the opposite side would be my bet for the BAT terminal...trace it out, it should terminate on the ammeter...

My father and I both looked for a while, unless they're marked on the back side. There is NO markings on this regulator anywhere, not even a part number or brand or anything.

I've never seen a regulator that was NOT marked. Remove the connecters and look again. I can see part of it in the picture.

try removing the screw that holds each wire on the terminals. there is probably a stamp on each terminal. it looks like they are stamped under the small square metal clip.

Rustyfarmall you were correct. They are marked underneath the terminals, I apologize! Now here's a dumb question, do you do this with the ignition on or off. I did it with it off, and it sparked, fired it up and the ammeter is still staying at zero, dropping down a bit when I turn the lights on. Lights do not change brightness at idle or revving wide open so im assuming its still not charging.

Run a jumper from the Field terminal on the generator to ground with the engine half throttle or so...if it charges then the voltage regulator is bad.

The plost that has btt voltage is the one you touch to the A term on the gen just take a reading on each term and the one that has batt volts is the one.
