I'm finally gettin back to my H that I tore down in the spring I'm starting to put it back together an I got a couple of quetions Does the felt rear seal need to be soaked in oil before I install it in the housing an does anybody put any sealer on the head studs above the water jackets in the block? |

| and if I just replaced a seal (belt pulley drive) without soaking, do you recommend tearing it apart again, or will it be okay? |

I wouldn't turn it on first thing. You might be ok if you let it ride around and get oil splashed on it. |
