Adding wide front to '54 Super H Question

I have a factory front, arms in the rear, came off of a 300. I want to put this on my "54 Super H...should be the one I"m looking for. The frame rails on my Super H do not have any holes for the rear bolster. What do I do, just drill some for the rear bolster? Were there rails for a wide front or did you have to always drill holes? Thanks in advance for your feedback!

Must have a early 54 model or the rails were changed. Serial 22952 and higher are supposed to be drilled. Could get you the measurements for the holes but you may be better off to bolt everything up and use the rear support holes as a guide for drilling.

I removed a (Norden) wf from a 300.Installed it on my '53 SH.Yes,I did have to drill the frame.Pretty easy, set a 1/2" drill on a bottle jack, use it as a 'drill press' of sort and just push the bit up through the hole.

It's a bit easier once you locate your hole centers to use a center punch, and drill a pilot hole of 1/8 inch, then enlarge to 1/2 using 1/4 then 3/8 and finally 1/2 drill bits.
