What is a good tough silver paint for rear rims. Not a show tractor but a real worker. Changing out the old calcium rotted rims, Thanks.....H

CaseIH sell an Argent silver enamel paint that seems like it covers decent.I used tremclad aluminum on my C and m with out problems.I think the primer is more important than the paint. I use a 3 part epoxy primerbefore paint. hope this helps. Kent

I used CNH silver on my 1942 H, and they came out nice. Key to good paint is the surface and I had mine sandblasted so the primer really had something to bite into. This can be done without removing tires if you desire.

I use Rustoleum Aluminum 7715 It work for me But I second that primer is important or a very good scuffed surface thats been wipe down

(quoted from post at 19:09:13 10/13/12) I use rust-oleum hammered silver. When it is dried it almost looks like galvanized.

I did some searching. There are a lot of good images of this paint. I was always turned off by it because I thought it was only available in rattle cans. I see they sell "real" paint in quarts ect.

Here is a shot of my WD-9 front rim. I would assume this is what they "should" look like. Both fronts look the same so they were either replaced at the same time or they are original to the tractor.

I don't even have a bad picture of a rear rim. All you can see is rust and white paint in this shot. It does give you a big picture view of the front rim.
