tachometer for farmall 300

where does the tachmeter hook up on the tractor? We think it goes on the front of the engine but not sure.

The port is below the distributor.

They made two distributor drives, one with tach drive and one without.
If your is smooth with no two-screw plate on the bottom, it's for one with no tach. If it has a flat plate with two screws that's where the tach drive assembly attaches & is run off the distributor drive gear.
