Restoratoring a Farmall C - C133 engine with no water pump (non pressurized). having trouble with small amount of anti-freeze leaking around the manifold bolts that were replaced. Will these seal after a little running time or do I need to remove them and add some sealant to the bolts? The orginal bolts that cam out did not appear to have any sealant on them. If I do need to add sealant what would you recomend?

You will need to remove and dip the studs in permatex indian head shellac and reinstall let it set a few days before you put in fluid.

I usually seal them with permatex airplane gasket sealer...but remember that the older manuals had the wrong torque spec...can"t remember what it is supposed to be off the top of my head, but the later manuals had it correct. Drive yourself nuts trying to get a seal with the lighter torque setting! Pete
