Here is a picture of a tool made for removing the drive nut. With the tractor in high gear and the brakes set you can unscrew the drive nut from the tramission counter shaft. With the square key of the tool in the slot of the nut, as you put a little pull on the tool take a hammer and tap on the nut. I also have a tool made for removing the nut from the pump, but I can't find the picture. I took an old inpact socket that I welded a piece of key stock to that fits the nut and with the air impact wrench I have been able to remove the nut from the pump without any disassembly of the pump assembly. Hope this helps, charlie

The drive hub is threaded on not pressed, try using a peice of 1/2 inch square stock or something that size and backing it off. Has worked for me might not hurt to put some heat on it first. Don't worry my first time trying to get one off I used a puller too lol. Jim.

Yes both the drive coupler at the transmission housing (counter shaft) and the coupler on the belly pump are both threaded on. The main shaft which is on top is easy to swap out that seal. Jim

Both ends are right hand thread. I put the tractor in gear when taking the transmission end off. The pump requires you to take pump apart.

You don't have to take the pump apart. Just stick a rod of somekind down the oil fill hole to keep the pump from turning while you remove the coupling.

Sticking a rod down the fill will only get you a rod sticking in the reservoir. You have to take the pump out of the reservoir and put a rod in the inlet of the pump. But, why not just give that coupling a few good raps with a hammer and a brass drift. That will most of the time get them loose.
