cork float dipping

Yes, I had real good luck using "Northern gas tank sealer" It is thicker and it stays somewhat rubbery when it dries so it doesn't crack and peal off. Some of the other brands start out like water. Make sure the float is DRY DRY DRY before you start. I dipped mine a couple times, but always let it dry atleast a day before dipping again. Good luck

mike, This has been a question ever scene the new gas has been out. Most guys will try to coat cork. But it will not last long the cork will swell and sink after the sealer fails. I have changed most of my cork floats to brass no more
