It does not show details of the part that goes in the square hole. However, as I recall, it was not square stock that went in there for mounting the blade, but rather a piece of round stock. I don't recall if the round stock was bored through, or just drilled and tapped in the ends to mount the blade bracket. I don't know why IH used the round stock. but I suspect that it was so that part could pivot a little if it needed to. [Reply]  [No Email]
