farmall 140

After searching the archives on decals for this tractor, I'm a bit confused. Its a 1964 140, should the hood decal say international or farmall? I bought a set of decals, but it has international decals for the hood. The decals that go on the front cowl say 140 with farmall above the number. Thanks for any and all info. Scott.

I would say that a 1964 140 should have a decal that says farmall and not International, but unless you check the serial number no one will know what is right or wrong because they all look the same after 1963.

Hello,
I looked in one of my farmall books i have and it shows a 1961 140 being yellow in color and having "metal" badges that say 140 and international on the hood. Looked in the link_disallowed book and all they show is metal badging as best i can tell. Not sure if they changed badging to decals on your year but i think they were metal. At least all the 140's i have seen are metal badging. Hope this helps,

Wayne

I checked my old IH dealer sales manual and found the 140 page dated Aug. 1964. It has Farmall on the hood and 140 on the lower panel. It is just 140 with nothing on top.

I don't know if this is useful but my 1966 140 is all decals and all International. No Farmall anywhere. No metal badges. Plastic IH on the grill. It is yellow and all original. My father bought it new.

I usually put the International ones on. I dont even think you can get the famall ones any more. The Farmall ones actually say Mcormick Farmall but i have never seen any new ones. The International ones look more normall because most most of the 140s are that way. They only used the Farmall decals for a couple of years .
