Belt Pulley Shims?

Hello,

I have the belt pulley for my Farmall 200 PTO, but haven't bolted it on yet. Got to put on the pinion gear and shim the pulley drive. My question is how could I make a shim? Use gasket in a tube?

Best to get the shims from CaseIH, they come in different thicknesses.

Are they the same as used on the A and B if they are i have some .

Think so, part #s are:

60582D, 60583D, 60584D

The caseIH site says they are for A,C,D,E,F,G.

I"m going through this right now putting a pulley on my A that didn"t have one. I called up Ken Updike at Carter and Grunewald to order them and he says they"re NLA from Case-IH. Maybe you can find someone that still has them in stock but it seems that Case-IH doesn"t.

Read in another thread about these shims; seems ppl started using beer/soda cans to make their shims. 8^)
