hydrostatic fluid

I have an old allis chalmers 716 H tractor. It made by simplicity.

I want to change the oil in the hydrostatic part. I don't know what kind to use. I have looked in several sites and it always seems to be confusing with several people recommending several different kinds.

I used to use some sort of allis chalmers "power fluid" but I don't have any more and the thing never used any... had the same can for years.

Is there some kind .... maybe hytran ... that I can't go wrong with?

thanks

Any Agco dealer out there will have the "correct" replacement fluid.

Allis Chalmers lawn equipment became Simplicity, right? In that case, Simplicity dealers should also be able to help you with the "correct" fluid.

Tractor Supply sells a hydraulic fluid that lists about 50 different brands and types that it's compatible with as well.

I would use any good hydraulic oil from tractor dealer or farm supply company. HyTran would probably be the best, but moust all brands meet compatable specs.
