My M has no spark at coil wire.Maybe bad winding? Any advice? |

| points, condenser, and coil. Now, the lead from the points to the condeser can but rubbed to the point it shorts. You could have a bad coil cover. And yes, the coil could be bad.
Coils are a tad pricey for the mag, like $50-$60. However, replace points and condenser. Make sure the contact in the coil cover is clean. If still no spark, then look to replace the coil.

| check to make sure the points are clean. Also, if battery ignition, make sure you have current at the coil. If answer to both is YES, then more than likely, the coil is bad. Buy a new one, they are not that terribly expensive. |

| Check the magnets for magnetism by using a flatblade screwdriver before you buy a coil. Hal PS: They should attract that screwdriver with a lot of effort. They're the items that create a hot spark when they pass by the coil. |
