curious to what a non running but loose w40 tractor complete condition rubber tires whats a average condition price its worth?

40's seem to be all over the spectrum. seen good ones sold cheap, and seen junk sell high.

one hting to note on them is the original FBB engine were prone to breaking the blocks fairly easily. seen quite a few that had cracked between the clinders inside the block. even more were frozen

and to add, those engines are usually worn right out cause they were a light truck engine that did not stand up in the tractors. parts for those fbb engines are pretty well impossible to find already. many people put the red diamond engine in the w40 with some modifications. i would say if the engine is toast 500.00 is plenty to pay.

Ill take all the w40 tractors I can get at $500.00 a pop! In my area $5000.00 for a nice restored tractor, and around $2000.00 for one thats compleat but not running. The last one I was able to buy was a 1940, four speed with 15-30 wheels, cracked block poor tin, loose, no starter but compleat. I was happy to get it for $2500.00. The one befor that was a parts tractor, pretty much junk, relly tough and it cost me a grand.
