My Honey Bee

Here are a few shots of my 1945 "B" that I just finished. Tore it down to only trans and axles, removed axles and instaled new bearings and seals, new seals in trans and PTO, wire brushed trans housing and axles. Sandblasted from there forward, took everything off and did piece at a time. Complete overhaul of engine, with new clutch etc. Just like new except for a little custom work. Grand-daughter is 3 yr old and likes to ride as does my wife. Started it back in March, got sidetracked with hernia surg and back on line in May. My first complete rebuild and can see where I can improve a lot.

Lot of people wanted me to hook up the clutch and brakes on the passenger side but I thought that would be too dangerous, especially with young kids. They can steer but I control the giddy-up and whoa.

Novel set up to say the least especially the steering linkage. Smart idea on having only one set of live brakes and clutch.

I think I would hook them up so it would be drivable from that side. I would then make a foot rest that would cover them when the rider was not the driver, and folded flat when it was. Jim

You should train a puppy to sit in the seat and hang on to the steering wheel. Maybe set up some earphones in a floppy farmer's hat so he/she can sing. That should get you on TV.

Advanced training would have the dog mounting and dismounting while underway. Kinda like circus dogs and horses. You could reposition the muffler and he could take a break by riding on the hood.

Lots of possibilities here. How's about the dog seeming to push the tractor with his rear paws on the ground and front paws on the drawbar?
