Are the cams from H/SH/300/350 all the same? or is the lift/duration different? Thank you

Due to the limited number of SH engines I don't have much experience with them. So can't say what cam all of them had. On the 300 and 350 they used the same cam up to C175 engine # 9000 and something. Have to look it up if you need the exact #. After that the cam gear retaining threads and nut was changed to left hand threads. Rest of the cam stayed the same.
Do have a IH release annoucement about the SH engine that tells the changes to have more power over the H. Although it mentions details on other parts it doesn't mention the camshaft, leading me to belive when the SH engines started they were using the same cam as the last built H tractors.
Anyone have a SH parts manual printed before september 1953?

Just as Jim says they are different the Super H and 300 are a good jump up from the H cam. Yet the 350 cam is slightly better yet. Lift is longer, duration is near or is the same. If you put a 350 cam in the H with nothing else done to it, it will gain a few hp and a few ft lbs. Also the fuel economy will slope off some. Depends what you want to do with it. You can have a cam ground to obtain custom specs be it better low end or higher end. But again in a stock engine its not going to go too too far.

They will interchange, no big difference in specs.

350 is going to provide the most power, but nt by mus=ch. A reground cam from a pulling source will probably make the most power, but it will not be field usable, or come on the cam at PTO speeds. Jim

They are different, I do not know in what way.
