carter ut rebuilt kit

I have a super c with a carter ut carb.I am looking to buying a rebuilt kit, but all the kits for a carter don"t have the idle adgusting screw.Went to the nearest jicase dealer, and was told they dont even have one.Where can i get a complete rebuilt kit?

You can't get a complete kit. No one makes it. Best bet is to replace that Carter with a new, or used, Zenith or Marvel-Schebler.

Tisco has a kit. It has the gaskets and needle and set and a few other small parts.
They are a decent carb! I have 3 that run like a dream!

Used to get Carter "UT" parts from MF/AGCO. MF 35"s used the "UT".May wish to check to see if they still service them.

I"ve got a carter ut on my super a. I bought one of the tisco kits for mine and the idle needle was made nothing like the original. Maybe that kit got the wrong needle on accident or maybe there was more than one type needle used...I don"t know.

I had a Carter UT on my Super C, and it always ran very rich, I could not adjust it. I tried everything. I finally broke down and bought a new Zenith. It ran great ever since. I just got tired of messing with it. I must have had it off and 15-20 times.

I fully agree with Mr. Rusty. I had the same problem with my Super C. The smartest thing I ever did was throw the Carter in the trash and bought a new Zenith carb. I also installed an adjustable main jet when I did get it. All my problems went away. JMO.

I'm with Rusty and Rick below. Had the same issues with the Carter UT on my SC and battled it for a couple of years and never could get it straightened out. Plugs were constantly fouling and just wouldn't run good in general. Bought a NOS Zenith at a RPRU and life has been good ever since. My SC is my main hay rake tractor and gets used for several other jobs during the year. Haven't been into the carb since the change or had to change plugs either, Hal.
