Farmall 300 power steering conversion

I have a 300 row crop, not utility, which I purchased a power steering unit out of a 400 for. Now I'm having trouble finding any Farmall manual which shows the entire power steering installation or even a plumbing diagram. I purchased the farmall 300 power steering manual, but it only includes the power steering unit itself. Does anyone know where I can get a manual or diagrams of how this would be plumbed/installed? Thank you in advance!

I can explain that the use of a belt driven pump is probably going to be easiest. The factory setup uses a priority valve in the valve cluster, and "U" tube to connect parts and it is far less work to put a Honda power steering pump with remote reservoir on a bracket than tearing into the stock hydraulics. I agree on the separate pump.

Finding the priority valve parts to do it up "factory" may be tough, and then you have to figure out how to install it, and then figure out why things aren't working.

Hi Have all the parts from a factory installation, priority valve etc. I just can find a factory manual which shows the installation and plumbing diagram.

Thanks Jim, Would using a separate power steering pump eliminate all of the complexities of installing the priority valves in the factory set up? If so, would the power steering pump connect directly to the power steering unit? Is there enough volume produced by a honda pump? I"ve read the power steering unit requires 3 gpm. I like your suggestion because I also have a loader on the tractor. I appreciate the help.

I believe the Honda pump has a built in pressure limiter, so it won't blow lines. It can be hooked directly. I do not know the gpm. There are several remote reservoir pumps in salvage yards that are on different vehicles. Jim
