Going to replace rod and main bearings that are std. and also going to rering the pistons.Placed one of the old rings in the hole and the end gap is 60 thousands all the way to the bottom of the cylinder. When I put the piston in the hole I can put a 13 thousands feeler gauge down along the side.I know the engine has been apart before by the old owner. Wondering if the pistons and rings are std. or if they should be 10 over. Thanks for any help. I do not have any mics. to check the size.

There is no way to answer your question. You are gonna gave to break down and buy a caliper. They can be picked up from Harbor Freight for a couple bucks.
The end gap is way over spec, should be .007-.017.

Have your local auto machine shop to measure those cylinders for wear. The cylinders may need to be bored oversize. Have the machine shop to also measure your crankshaft. It may need undersize bearings if the journals are slightly worn. They won't grind it undersize unless it needs it. Buy your bearings from them. Hal

I'd bring it to a machine shop and have them take the measurements and deglaze the cylinder walls. Shouldn't run much more than $40 - $50 to get it done and know its done right.

Since you're pretty certain its been apart (not much of a surprise considering the very "newest" Cub is 33 years old) I'd have all the journals measured on the crank to. I've seen more than one engine have one journal turned (or just emory clothed down while still in the engine) and have an undersized bearing while the others are standard.
