I bought a 2 row mounted lister today at an auction that goes on an H or M. I don't have any idea what model, and my 150 years of IH book doesn't show anything. Does anyone have any ideas on where to start. I need to get a manual and maybe some lift-all parts, but I don't know what I'm missing, if anything. Thanks |

been to long but remember dads lister in 50's had a crank shaped rod on each side of lift all that slid into hole across bottom. these supported cultivator cylinder front ends and rods extending back over axles that lifted lister unit, the back end of cylinders mounted on pin thru top of square tube that is the front side of draw bar mount. i may be wrong as we left farm in 1960 when I was about 13 or 14 , lets see if any one agrees or disagrees with me and my poor old memory leroy

50+ years ago my Dad had a 4 row lister on a M. About the only thing I remember about it was it was rear mounted. Think the drawbar had to come off. I don't remember where the hydrailic cyl. mounted thinking under the belly but not sure.

If you go into the photo ad archives and search for "Farmall Lister Planter" there is one from Kansas I think.

The 221 was a steerable cultivator.

THAT is a sharp looking setup. Just for conversation I also have a demonstrater C, but with a 2 row cultivater. This lister mounts in place of the drawbar on the rear. It has the same flanges to mount on the axle mounts as the drawbar, however there are 2 rods that go up front to, I assume, lift it out of the ground. I had someone explain that it probably used the same lift setup as the cultivator, but I don't lnow what that was either. To be honest the only reason I bought it was to keep it from the scrappers, but now I have it and I want to have enough to make it work.

Greg, The forward planter is ground driven. But the side dresser is driven off the tractor. There is a second rod. to ingage the drive clutch. When you get time post some pictures. oldiron29
