no problems installing the pin, had to buy a new lower valve guide though, 34 bucks at c-IH because I ruined the old one trying to get the broken pin out...(bent it) and broke 3 or 4 little roll pin punches. All back together but 180 PSI is all I can get out of it with the screw block all the way down.

Had to make a adpater like you said, none in the kit go that little. The test port is 3/8 o-ring type thread. I started looking and found a 3/8 1/4 inch sae bolt...SAME THREAD. Drilled a hole thru the bolt, cut head off. Lathed it smooth on cut end. Drilled out a fitting that fit the guage and tap it to 3/8, screwed my nipple in and worked great.

thanks everybody especially the VET

IF you are having trouble getting the pressure then do this. Loosen the two 1/2 inch bolts that hold the linkage bracket to the PTO unit and pry up the bracket and hold it up while someone tightens it up . This should get you about 40 lbs more . Ya don't want to run it that low as you will walk thru the clutches. under load . If you egg shape the holes in the mounting bracket a little on the bottom side it will help . Due to age and ware your not getting the LIFT on the valve .

course, the problem COULD be leaking seals in the pressure circuit inside the pto assy, but if the linkage is worn, try building up the worn spots with weld, grind down to fit the holes a little more snugly. even fancier would be on a lathe, but by the time the tractor is this old, you can be pretty rough and still make it a whole lot better than it was.

I will do that but man that spring feels tight. I just dont want to break that pin again...but....I would rather change that then have to put clutches in the unit.

RAISING THE BRAKET just like you said Vet.
