Hey guys, I'm not really into this whole restoration bit, just a hard working girl and I figured you guys might have the info I need. I've got one of these IH 100s and it is broken :( The idler sprocket has busted-grrrr! I need a new one real bad because this horse manure is backing up-ahhh! Alright so it is the one on the right front of the spreader, although I think left and right were identical-it is really busted up. Any ideas where I could find one?
Thanks for all your help!

Try your local power train distributor like Motion industries or Applied Industrial technologies, a mill/elevator supply or bulk handling equipment dealer. They didn't design and build their own chain for that stuff, it's all standard and can be sourced outside an OEM parts channel.

I HAVE both of them from a 200 manure spreader. It is basically the same spreader just a little stretched out. I am at college right now but should be going home one of these weekends. How close are you to central Ohio? I can be reached by email or at 740-407-1430.

How far are you from E central Mo. I have a 100 spreader in working order. It has the left lower angle iron rail rusted real bad but the rest of the spreader is in good working order. the wood floor is good and all of the guards are there and it is not beat up. If interested reply tonight. I wont be home tomorrow. I would let it go fairly cheap.

Hi Countrygal, my brother had an IH forage box with same chain and idler. Idler broke and part was no longer available from CNH. He found one at TSC that was the same size but sprocket tooth spacing was twice the original. So sprocket tooth only went into every second link in the chain which was OK for an idler as its only purpose was to keep the chain tension. When another idler broke, we ended up replacing with a semi-circle piece of maple. We soaked the maple in oil for a day and put some grease on it from time to time.Hope this helps JimB
