Regular or F20

No, I think the tractor is a 1926 regular from the fram # and the open steering.
But I was looking for engine serial numbers for the engine. I think it was maybe F20.

(quoted from post at 14:27:33 09/07/12) I have an engine block number of OC37193 like to know the year of it.

Regular engine blocks used QC as the serial number prefix. Both serial number 37193 and 37072 point to August of 1928. F20 chassis serial numbers had an FA prefix and were stamped on the left frame rail just behind the clutch housing, whereas Regular chassis serial numbers did not have a letter prefix and were stamped on the left frame rail right in front of the radiator.

Farmall reg. has serial number on tool box & no number on frame , i know this because i own a 1930 reg. but from what ive read about these early tractors it is very hard to tell by numbers IH didnt keep good records of what they did , f-20 & reg. engines are the same except for intake , carb , & govenor linkage i think for the most part , ive also read that engine number should be close to tractor number, im no exspert just passing on what i know hope this helps some , but if you got a 1926 you better hold on to that one because the Farmall didnt go into full prodution till late 1926, also 402 tractors produced w/ malleable iron countershaft housing casting # 1523DC, increased strength front bolster #1556-DD started in june 1928 on tractor T-29996 , seat sring & bracket redesigned april of 1930 casting #"s 1931-D seat support bracket , 10214-D spring , 17399-D seat support first used on tractor # 100100 , there"s some ways of telling what you might have

the Reg. was produced starting in 1924 , just wanted you to know if it was a 26 you had something there , dont want anyone to take my post the wrong way, also the book im looking at right now shows engine prefixes as QC , T or IT all were used on the reg. but take that info lightly because these books have been wrong, also shows chassis number location on tool box under tank none on frame rail
