Hooking up an A-151 disk plow

Ok... I got my Super A running thanks to you guys now here"s my question. How exactly does an A-151 hook up? Does it need special brackets? All the pics and literature I could find didn"t really show it close up where it hooks up. A friend of mine gave me the plow and he is dead and gone now so I can"t ask him and I hate not to use it. Thank you for all your help.

I have a parts catalog that shows the A-151. Looks like there are brackets that bolt to the drawbar bolts on the final drives. I think it bolts to the front bolts on the final drives. There is a rod that goes from the right hand side to a bracket on the steering arm on the right front spindle. That linkage goes all the way to the back to steer the rear wheel on the plow. The lift arm is on the left side of the mounting brackets and goes to the rockshaft at the hydraulic unit on the left hand side of the tractor. I used one of these more than 50 years ago to plow our garden when I was a teenager. As I recall, it did an excellant job of plowing. If you happen to be missing the bracket for the front steering arm (those were frequently left on the tractor) you can probably make something of even find one at a salvage dealer. I saw one on E bay a while back.

Here's a pic I found on this website:

Shows it mounted on the tractor.

Then there's this one that shows the brackets bolted to the front pads on the final drives:

I know the rod that runs from the rear tire on the disk to the steering arm on the tractor is there. So I guess what I am missing is the bracket for the steering that attaches to the right front spindle and the brackets that bolt on at the differential drives. I wonder how hard those will be to find? Thank you for your help. I appreciate it.

might not be hard to find at all. i may possibly have 1. give me a day or so to look. located in north alabama.

i have 1. realized where it was and looked. will cost $12 to ship usps one price. i will take $25 for it plus ship. i did not see the u-bolt that clamps it to the steering arm. it may be hanging behind something else, will look closer tommorrow.

Ok...just let me know if you find the u bolt. You wouldn't know anybody that would have the differential brackets would you? Or a good pic so I can have some made?

sold my plow with the brackets several years ago. guy already had the steering piece. don't have a clue abot how to fab the brackets. will look tommorrow afternoon for the u bolt. i think off top of head that a u bolt would not be a problem to get. any hardware store would have one that would work.

Oh ok... I didn't know if was a special u bolt or anything. I was able to find a pic of the brackets that bolt on to a cub. Are they similar? If so I might be able to get a set fabbed up.

Can you send me an email to set up a payment? I was going to send you one but your email isn"t on there.
