Do all H's have a belly pump? numbers show the one I just picked up is a 42...Just curious as I have never had an H and never realized that they even had hydraulics in them. |

| Lever and rod in picture goes to the unit. Part with slot and hole under the center of tractor is the bottom part. unit doesn't pump when transmission stops. |

| The belly pump is in the belly of the tractor. Hence, belly pump.
None of the pictures you posted, that I've seen, show that portion of the tractor.
Look under the belly of the tractor, below the gas tank. You should see a cast steel unit protruding down below the belly of the tractor. It is kind of rounded, has a removable plug to drain, and there is a key-shaped hole on either side. |

| Hydraulics were optional, but most of them came equipped.
Of course, the belly pump is fairly simple to remove, so for all we know the tractor may have come with one from the factory, but it was removed for service, or to lighten the tractor for pulling, or for parts for another tractor. |

| At the risk of sounding dumb...could you explain to me how to check to see if mine is still intact? I just picked this up yesterday dirt cheap. It has 3 point on it and I am wanting to change the set up it has so that I can hook up to pull behind brush hog that I have as well as keep the 3 point hitch set up. I posted a couple pics last night of the current set up. |

| If the H has a three point, as you.stated, it is more than likely hydraulically operated. If it is, followthe hydraulic hose to where it hooks to tractor. That should be one of the ports of the belly pump, unless someone has put a live pump behind the mag to run three point hydraulics. |

| If you look at the tractor just behind where the clutch is you will see three pipes coming out through the casting and an arm with a rod attached to it that runs up toward the seat area. On the bottom if you look up inside the torque tube you will see a big cast boxy shape with a short thick drive shaft running from it to the front of the transmission. If you need a belly pump or any parts I have everything here and can ship. Zach |

| I am going to look at it later today. Could you send your email and number to my email? I currently have a Massey 44 Diesel that I have rebuilt and am selling as I have had a farmall before and have decided that this is the one I am wanting to spruce up and use. I have $400.00 into it and it runs great. I never realized that hydralics were an option on an older H. Thanks for the info. My email is alderfield@live.com. |
