filter meter on Farmall 756

I noticed recently that the needle on the filter meter on my Farmall 756 gas tractor is now pointing at red patch rather than at green as it had been doing. If I change the hydraulic filter will the needle automatically return to the green area, or is there a reset function that needs to be done to complete the installation? As near as I can tell all hydraulic systems are operating correctly at present.

Thanks for your help. ---Lee

Thanks, I'll change both filters. I haven't owned the tractor long, so don't know when it was last serviced.

I assume then that changing the air filter is all that it takes to reset the filter meter?

Just realize the gauge should read green with key on and engine not running if gauge is actually working. If it reads red with key on, when engine is not running your gauge is not working.

A copy of an Operator's Manual for your tractor will be a good investment. They are available from right here on ytmag. Top left side of page, just under " Marketplace " ,click on Tractor Manuals,
In "Quick Search" Select International/Farmall in drop down box, then enter 756 , then click search. Get the Operator's Manual... $34.95 .

There is no reset if you have the electric meter mounted on the lower dash. Like I said, it should read green with engine not running or it is not working. It only goes to red when it detects excess restriction while engine is running. It cannot detect restriction when not running.
