steps for a Farmall M

Has anyone fabricated a set of steps to make getting on and off their M easier? I don't care too much about "period correct" but would like something that makes it more user friendly to jump on and off of all day. If you have something you've come up with please post pictures!
Thanks

I do not have pictures of them but I have a set of steps on my Oliver Super 88 that would be easy to modify to work on an M. Big problem would be the lack of fenders that are not common on the H or M

I'll try to take a picture of my H when it lights up. But I have one made out of 3/4" rebar, with a big nut welded onto each end for a bolt to pass through. One ends bolts up to the big bolt boss on the lower right side of the transmission, just forward of the brake bolt pivot, then it goes down 6", forward 6", outboard 6", and back 24" to a big bolt on the 3-point bracket. The nuts on the ends of this step are just for a big bolt to pass through.
THis step-thing is rock-solid and works perfectly: right foot on the step, left foot on the axle, then pivot and step onto the tractor.

My M and C have no 3 pt hitchs, and i've always wondered how all you guys with 3 pt's get on and off your letter series tractors. I would like to see some pics also. Thanks Kent

Yep,

Gotta have that step.

I have platforms added to my 300, remove the fenders and bolt on hardwood 2x12's in place. Make them long enough to go from the front light to extend a bit farther than the current platform. Then step from the drawbar to the platform and then onto the tractor seat. Also makes for a convient place to carry and extra bag of seed when planting or chains or whatever.

That looks very nice but I sure would want that parallel with the ground to avoid slipping off.

A few years ago at the RPRU I saw this setup on a SMTA tractor. I thought it was cool so I took a couple pictures of the step assembly. There is a 3 pt hitch on the rear and this step made it possible to get to the operators platform quite easy.
